What makes Buffalo Barn Doors different?
At Buffalo Barn Doors we believe in quality craftsmanship using Authentic Materials. Many barn door companies use inferior soft woods like pine to build their products. These doors are thin and flimsy. The benefit is cost and weight. These inferior doors are cheaper to build and cheaper to ship. Interestingly we find the price saved by our competitors using low-cost materials is not reflected in the price the end user pays. Possibly a good business model but in our opinion not a good door. Buffalo Barn Doors are built with hardwoods. Our Authentic Reclaimed product is 100% reclaimed hardwoods from dismantled barns, warehouses, homes, and factories that were built over 100 years ago. Reclaimed Wood has uniqueness, intrinsic value, distinct aesthetic beauty, heritage, and history of origin that cannot be achieved otherwise.
What is reclaimed wood ?
Reclaimed lumber is processed wood retrieved from its original application for purposes of subsequent use. Most reclaimed lumber comes from timbers and decking rescued from old barns, factories and warehouses.
What species of wood are the "authentic reclaimed" barn doors made from?
Our authentic reclaimed barn doors are made from mixed HARDWOODS 100-120 years old.
